  2. The movie has a very precise set of place, excellent cinematography, compelling characters, and a general lyricism . The plot could have been a little more naturalistic and a little less mannered. It seemed to pursue symmetry for its own sake. A great film can have heavily constructed plotting, but, in Masaan, it conflicted with the realism of the setting and the characters.
